Condensation of Disciplinary Directions, Development of Coordination Influence, Improvement of Disciplinary Building

On the morning of September 25, 2013, the seminar on disciplinary building of mechanic engineering was held in Room 502, Logistics Engineering College. Professors and associate professors of this discipline attended this seminar. The president Prof. Hu Xiong started the seminar with a brief account of the overall development planning of the college under new circumstances. He analyzed the advantages and disadvantages in disciplinary building, pointing out that the discipline of mechanic engineering, with its distinctive features and excellent foundation, has formed the disciplinary team and made great achievements in such fields as Health Monitoring and Error Diagnosis of Port and Navigation Logistics Equipment, Port Mechanic Design and Manufacturing, Automatization and Intelligence of Logistics Equipments, and Logistics System Information and Management. He hopes that in the following development, working area should be pinpointed, with improved features and advanced level. The personnel present voiced their opinions freely and pooled their intelligence. They agreed that under new circumstances, the discipline of mechanic engineering should condense research directions, integrate current resources, expand disciplinary building, intensify the role played by disciplinary leaders, create the environment for talents training, and take advantage of team coordination. With joint efforts, the discipline will develop rapidly. In addition, the seminar also staged lively discussion, shared experience, and made proposals on other topics, including the industry development situation, the building of other university, introduction of high-end talents, and construction of lab. Each and everyone made it clear that they are willing to contribute their wisdom and strength and work together so as to explore new ideas and measures of disciplinary building.
