Mechanical Engineering Experiment Center
Mechanical Engineering Experiment Center, which is affiliated to Logistics Engineering College, was established in September, 2003, with the principle of "rigorous, realistic, innovative, cooperative" and the target of improving the students' practical ability and creative practice consciousness. The experiment center takes an area of about 1900 square meters with about 650 sets of equipments whose total value is about RMB 3.5 million yuan. And it has 9 full-time lab technicians including 1 associated professor and 8 engineers, among whom there are 3 PhD students and nearly 80% have master’s degree or above.
Mechanical Engineering Experiment Center mainly take responsible for experimental education task for undergraduates come from the Mechanical Engineering Department and Industrial Engineer Department which are departments of Logistics Engineering College, and it also support the other colleges and departments with teaching service of basic experiment courses. Now the center has accomplished the teaching task for 17 specialties all over the university, with nearly 70 experimental projects offered to students which have covered all levels of experiment-demonstration experiment, verification experiment, comprehensive experiment and designing experiment. In addition, the experiment center undertakes the responsibility of the experiment teaching work for its own college’s graduates and offers experimental support for teachers’ scientific research and students’ practice and innovation.
