The Celebration Activities for the Thirtieth Anniversary of Cooperation between Shanghai Maritime University and Gdynia University
On May 13rd,the celebration activities for the thirtieth anniversary of cooperation between Shanghai Maritime University and Gdynia Maritime University were held in our campus. The vice principle of Gdynia Maritime University, professor Janusz Kazimierz Mindyknowski, the vice principle and professor Henryk Sniegocki,the chairman of navigation department professor Adam weintrit,the principle of our college Huang Youfang, International Office, director of Merchant Marine College and teacher representative were present in the celebration activities.
The principle Huang Youfang claimed that Gdynia Maritime University is the first overseas university that Shanghai Maritime University has cooperated with. In 1984,the two parties signed the cooperation agreement and launched the friendly cooperation, both parties involved accomplished a large number of projects and held international meeting in joint efforts. In addition, they launched abundant activities among teachers and students and also got fruitful results, so far, there are 10 cooperation items being involved in scientific cooperation projects between the two, which make great contributions for the development of China-Poland shipping industry. He hoped that both sides would continue to work in partnership and achieved accomplishments in both scientific cooperation and teacher-student cooperation.
The vice principle Mindykowski looked back the road to their cooperation in 30 years between the two parties. He said that the cooperation with Shanghai Maritime University has great significance in Poland and achieved fruits were widely accepted. Besides, he hoped that we two parties could take the opportunity of the 30th anniversary to further progress its cooperation with Shanghai Maritime University.
Both sides also communicated with each other in the cooperation range and means.
During the visit, the vice principle Mindykowski also paid visits to ship handling simulator, water training center, automatic cabin and experimental facility.
