Shanghai Maritime University Successfully Held the First Intelligent Car Race

On May 28th,2014,the first smart car racing was held successfully in Logistics Engineering College,Shanghai Maritime University.The race takes place on specified model car platform, using microcontroller of Freescale Semiconductor as a core control module.By increasing the road sensor,motor drive circuit and corresponding software,participants can make model cars with autonomous road recognition. In accordance with prescribed routes,winners is that(are those) who complete it within shortest time.Thus the competition covers control,pattern recognition,sensor technology,electronic,electric appliance, computer,machinery and other disciplines.The contest is divided into three groups,which are electromagnetic, photoelectric and camera.Each group independently sort results and decide the rank respectively.

Since the campus game started in the second half of 2013,it received a great deal of support from Academic Affairs Office and Logistics Engineering College.After nearly a semester of design making and test,9 teams from Merchant Marine College,College of Information Engineering and Logistics Engineering College took part in the campus race.After the game, the students winners were awarded in each group.The prize winners team will take part in the competition in mid-July in Nanchang University in East China.
