Associate Professor of American Old Dominion University Made the Special Reports About “Container Shipping Logistics Modeling”
Recently, Doctor Wang Shuaian, associate professor of American Old Dominion University and Australian University of Wollongong, has made a lecture about Container Shipping Logistics Modeling for two days in our university. The lecture has caught great attention inside and outside of our university. Teachers and students from Wuhan University，Shanghai University as well as Logistics Engineering College，Scientific Research Academy, College of Transport and Communications of SMU attended the lecture.
With the analysis of case, he explained profound theories and methods in simple language about background analysis，linear optimization，integer optimization， nonlinear optimization，stochastic optimization in container route scheduling. He also communicated with the relevant teachers of SMU about the writing of high-level SCI journal papers.
Doctor Wang Shuaian has long been active in the international academic field and has published 43 international journal papers in recent four years. He has published eight articles as the first author identity in the top journals Transportation Research Part B related to the field of international logistics and transportation logistics. The number of citations of his article is over 380. He has made great contributions to the fields of container transfer，modeling of empty container transportation, network tuning of liner trade, multinomial time organization algorithm of container transport.
