Cooperation and Technology Exchange Meeting of SMU-TUV Nord Crane & Offshore Machinery Joint Lab
On December 10,2014, SMU-TUV Nord Crane & Offshore Machinery Joint Lab welcomed Karl-Heinz Marrek, the manager of the Quality Engineering Department of German TUV Nord Group and madam Astrid Schulze, analyst of physical construction. The two sides had in-depth communication and discussion about technical support for the joint lab, research and development capability,the expansion of the future market .
After a short welcome ceremony, Logistics Engineering College of SMU introduced discipline construction,Professional settings and postgraduate education under the host of teacher Xu Xiaoyan. It also introduced the research conditions of Equipment detection and safety assessment of ocean engineering,equipment design of large port,censorship for cooperative projects and had an in-depth communication about the technical difficulties in relevant fields with the German experts. After the meeting, the staff of our college showed them the relevant laboratories.
Since the establishment of “the joint laboratory”in June of this year, project design review of the domestic wharf facilities,qualification training of laboratory personage and the expansion of Southeast Asia market have been formally carried out through the joint efforts of the experts, scholars and technical personage of the two sides. The two sides have confirmed the technical preparation, qualification certification,the training of technical personage during the current visit of German experts, which need to enter the European market. The laboratory will aim at building the world-class technical service team,developing the new pattern for mutual benefits of the two sides. The laboratory will further promote the internationalization for the cooperation in production, study and research of Logistics Engineering College and enhance the international reputation of SMU.
