Our University Students Get Good Grades in the Eighth “Higher Education” Cup Advanced Mapping Technology and Product Information Modeling Creation Competition for University Students

The Eighth “Higher Education” Cup Advanced Mapping Technology and Product Information Modeling Creation Competition was held in Kunming University of Science and Technology. 1685 students of 264 representing teams from more than 180 universities participated in this competition. A team of six from our university took part in mechanical competition achieved good scores and won 6 prizes.

Student Yu Cong won the first prize in 3D modeling and second prize of individual all-around. Ren Zhida, Song Yizhou as well as Li Nianping won the second prize in 3D modeling alternatively. Shi Zhemin won the second prize in Gauge drawing.

The Eighth “Higher Education” Cup Advanced Mapping Technology And Product Information Modeling Creation Competition was co-sponsored by Teaching and Guidance Committee of Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education, The professional committee of the Institute of graphics and technology in China, Professional Committee of product information modeling of the Chinese Graphics Society.

This competition was the highest state-level competition in the area of domestic figure science. Since 2008, the competition was held annually in Zhengzhou University of Light Industry, Wuhan University, Chongqing University, Harbin Engineering University, Donghua University, South China Agricultural University, China Three Gorges University, which attracted the great attention of many engineering universities and colleges.
