The Speech on Digitization was Given by the Global Director of TUV Nord Group of Germany

On the afternoon of October 20,2015, Ren Junyi, the chairman of TUV Nord Group of Germany in greater china, came to visit Logistics Engineering College. The global director doctor Stenkamp did the speech on the subject of digitization in the lecture hall of 506 in Logistics Engineering College building. Professor Hu Xiong, the dean of Logistics Engineering College and professor Xu Xiaoyan, vice president of Logistics Engineering College gave the reception and attended the lecture.

The lecture took the digitization and industry 4.0 as the theme. Professor Stenkamp gave a detailed introduction to this frontier field in simple words, including the characteristics of digitization as well as the current development condition of industry 4.0. Professor Stenkamp cited many cases to analyze it and pointed out problems facing the current condition, such as privacy problem, fraud phenomena, cyber crimes and so on. He also gave the solutions to these problems, such as identity verification through authorization. In the last Q&A part, the undergraduate from our college pointed out how to apply digitization and industry 4.0 to port area. Doctor Stenkamp gave the specific explanation by using cases.
