Logistics Engineering College Held the 3rd International Top Experts’ Advanced Technologies Seminar
The 3rd International Top Experts’ Advanced Technologies Seminar was held by Logistics Engineering College, SMU in No.124 lecture hall from Oct, 26th to 30th.
The seminar was co-hosted by SMU and China Power Supply Society and aimed to broaden SMU postgraduates’ international horizon. Internationally-famous Dr. Leo Lorenz, Chairman of European Center for Power Electronic (ECPE), Academician of the German Academy of Sciences, Germany, Dr. Mohamed Benbouzid, Professor of SMU for Thousand Talent Program and Deputy Director of Laboratoire Brestois de Mécaniqueet des Systèmes (LBMS), Prof. Didier Trichet, from University of Nantes and other distinguished professors were invited to give lectures at the seminar.
Persons presenting at the opening ceremony were Mr. Yang Wanfeng, Vice President of SMU, Huxiong, president of Logistics Engineering College, Yu Hongrong, head of International Communication Office, Wang Guohua, president of Graduate School, Prof, Xu Dehong, from Zhejiang University and President of CPSS, Xu Xiaoyan and Sun Shibin, vice presidents of Logistics Engineering College. Professor Tang Tianhao from Logistics Engineering College hosted the opening ceremony. Over 100 attendees including scholars from power source industry, colleges and universities, research laboratory, doctors and undergraduates of SMU participated in the training of International Top Experts’ Advanced Technologies Seminar.
Through the study and communication, the seminar aimed to broaden postgraduates’ international horizon, to let postgraduates have a deep understanding about the application of important power device, Power conversion technology in various areas and its future development trend. The host of seminar played an essential role in promoting the discipline development of electric engineering, enhancing the quality of postgraduates education, expanding domestic and abroad technology communication.
