2015 International Summit Forum on Marine Power and Ship Electric Propulsion Technologies was held in Lingang

On November 31, 2015, 2015 International Summit Forum on Marine Power and Ship Electric Propulsion Technologies was held in the lecture hall of Shanghai Lingang Area Development Administration.
Jin Yongxing, the secretary of our university, attended the forum and delivered the opening speech. Professor Tang Tianhao, the chairperson of the organizing committee of the forum, hosted the forum and had the keynote speech at the round table conference. The forum invited such renowned scholars as doctor Leo Lorenz, the chairperson of European Power Electronics Association and the academician of German Academy of Science, professor Chen Boshi and experts from home and abroad such as professor Li Yongdong from Tsinghua University, doctor Benbouzid, specially appointed professor from Thousands Talents Plan for Foreign Experts. They all gave wonderful lectures.
About two hundred people attended the form, including power supply and shipbuilding manufacturers and people in commercial circles from home and abroad as ABB,GE, SIEMENS, Schneider Electric. They had the communication about the application and development trend of power electronics and electronic transmission technology in shipping, ocean platform as well as isolated island. They visited the marine power generation lab of Logistics Engineering College after the meeting.
Co-sponsored by Shanghai Power Supply Society, Shanghai Harbor City Development (Group)Co.,Ltd, CAISG, the forum won substantial support from China Power Supply Society, Shanghai Pudong Federation of R&D Institutions as well as Shanghai Lingang Marine Science Park. The forum aimed to promote localization of domestic key technologies and main equipment in shipping and marine electric and to provide propulsion for China to become marine power.
